Noci and the surrounding area

Noci is set on a small hill (ca 430m above sea level) in the peaceful countryside of the Murgia hills, surpisingly green for this part of Italy, with rolling fields planted with arable crops, vineyards, olive, almond and cherry trees, and woods of evergreen oak. Dry stone walls are an essential feature of the landscape and natural stone is omnipresent, either as a building material, or in its natural state.
The area belongs to the “Terra dei Trulli e Barsento” and the Valle d’Itria.

Situated about half-way between the Adriatic and Ionian coasts, you can choose what kind of beaches you’d like to visit: the rocks and smaller sandy coves and beaches of Monopoli, or the wide sandy beaches of Castellaneta, for example, or slightly further away, the sandy beaches of Salento.
